Pra Prong Dam is the biggest irrigational dam in Sa kaeo. It is located at 3rd village and 6th village of Tambon Chong kum, Amphoe Nanakorn, Sa kaeo. Pra Prong Dam is in one of his majesty the king’s projects to create a dam at Pra Prong water source which flow down from Paang Sida National Park. This dam is now the biggest water reserve here and is also a habitat to countless species of fish and water birds. This place is a great place to observe the beauty of wetlands. Pra Prong Dam is the most beautiful dam of Sa keao. Around the reserve banks, scenery of this place is so marvelously beautiful. The vast area of water is like mirror reflecting the blue sky above. The mountain range from afar makes this place a living mirror. For the best experience here, it is recommended that visitors take small boat or raft and float around the reserve. Visitors will have a panoramic view of the reserve and also can observe the birds around the reserve at the same time. Some water birds here are rare species like the Ay Ngua bird or also known as Sanke bird which migrate here during May to July every year.Apart from canoe, boats, and rafts, there are also other activities for visitors to enjoy. For instance, fishing, trekking, and camping. For camping visitors need to contact the staff first.Traveling here is easy. Visitors can take route 3198 for about 18.5 kilometres until the intersection around Subnokkaew School turn left and then the dam will be right in front of you.
